Pyongyang: America's warlike forces are becoming ever more frantic in their attempts to realize the wild ambition of dominating the world by force. The plan has come under fire from a signed commentary from Rodong Sinmun [Communist Party newspaper] on Monday. The U.S. imperialists have stepped-up the development and production of nuclear weapons over recent years, in order to steadily bolster their armed forces, maintain nuclear hegemony and carry out its nuclear war strategy, the commentary observes. It goes on:

They are contemplating the introduction of new kinds of hardware into East Europe, the same type of weapons they are using to establish the U.S. National Missile Defense System, in order to build it there. This is designed to contain the surrounding countries by force and maintain military hegemony.

The move to establish missile defense in East Europe is part of Washington's sinister plot to establish an aggressive worldwide missile network. In other words, they seek to deploy missiles on land, sea and even in space to be capable of mounting a missile attack on any part of the world. It is as clear as high-noon that if they establish a missile defense system in Eastern Europe, it will spill over into other regions.

The U.S. has already designated Russia, China and several other nations, including the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, as targets for preemptive nuclear attack. No one can rest assured that the U.S. imperialists will not mount nuclear or missile attacks at any moment, and under absurd pretexts.

War moves by the U.S. imperialists have aroused the attention of not only the other powers that Washington regards as "potential rivals," but also the anti-imperialist and independent countries. Trying to maintain hegemonic control of the world is a wild anachronistic ambition for the United States. America's bellicose forces would be well advised give up dominating the world by military force.
