Mogadishu: Mogadishu fell into the hands of Islamists, despite Bush's financing of warlords to try and stop the Islamist wave. The militias of the Union of Islamic Courts promise the establishment of a state identical to that under the Taliban in Afghanistan, before the United States crushed it in the name of their hunt against terrorists after the attacks on New York.

The Somali Taliban swear that they will go on with their Islamist fight until an Islamist State in Somalia is born, indeed, amongst a constellation of countries just like it in the Horn of Africa! The boss of the Union of Islamic Courts warned, as soon as he arrived in Mogadishu, "We are ready to shed our blood for the success of this fight." The war promises to be heavy, because the warlords, advised and financed by Washington in the name of the fight against armed Islamism, are not going to give up easily. They swear that they will return to Mogadishu, a place they have occupied since overthrowing dictator Mohamed Siad Barré in 1991.

The victory of the Union of Islamic Courts created disarray in Washington. The installation of an Islamist regime in the horn of Africa, that could provide a sanctuary for al Qaeda, such as the Taliban did in Afghanistan, is no longer seen as a mere possibility, but as an unfolding process.

In Mogadishu, the population seems to be catching its breath since the Union of Islamic Courts managed to stop the anarchy and reestablish order, even if it is an Islamist order. According to one of the rare dispatches emerging from the country, there is even an "atmosphere of peace" in the air. It is quiet now, and stores are open. People are walking around freely.

The Islamist militias have announced that they are to push their advantage even further by continuing north. The objective is to force the surrender of Jowar, where warlords have retreated to, and await further assistance from their sponsors [the United States]. Similar levels of concern have seized countries from the borders of Somalia all the way to the Arabic Peninsula.

An Islamic State, while the collateral damage of the Iraq occupation and the inter-Palestinian crisis continues to erupt, are factors that greatly aggravate the situation.

Mogadiscio: Mogadiscio est tombée dans l’escarcelle islamiste malgré Bush qui finançait des chefs de guerre pour essayer d’arrêter la déferlante islamiste. Les milices relevant des tribunaux islamiques promettent l’établissement d’un État à l’identique avec celui des talibans en Afghanistan avant que les États-Unis ne l’écrase au nom de leur chasse contre le terrorisme après les attentats de New York.

Les talibans version somalienne jurent de poursuivre leur lutte islamique jusqu'à ce l’avènement d’un État islamique en Somalie, voire à une constellation d’États du même gabarit dans le corne est de l’Afrique ! Le patron des tribunaux islamistes a averti, dès son arrivée à Mogadiscio, "nous sommes prêts à répandre notre sang pour le succès de la lutte". La guerre promet d’être lourde, les chefs de guerre financés et conseillés par Washington au nom de la lutte contre l'islamisme armé, ne vont pas baisser les bras. Ils jurent revenir à Mogadiscio qu’ils occupaient depuis le renversement du dictateur Mohamed Siad Barré en 1991.

La victoire des tribunaux islamistes a suscité le désarroi à Washington où l'installation dans la corne de l'Afrique d'un régime islamiste qui servirait de havre à Al Qaïda, à l'instar de celui qu'avaient installé les talibans en Afghanistan n’est plus une vue de l’esprit, c’est un processus en marche.

À Mogadiscio, la population donne l’impression de souffler car pour elle les tribunaux islamistes pourraient faire cesser l’anarchie et établir un ordre, fut-il islamiste. Selon les rares dépêches provenant de ce pays, il flotte même un "air de paix". C'est calme et les commerces fonctionnent. Les gens vont et viennent librement désormais.

Les miliciens islamiques ont annoncé qu'elles étaient allaient pousser leur avantage en progressant vers le nord du pays. Objectif faire tomber Jowar où se sont repliées les seigneurs de guerre qui attendent des aides supplémentaires de la part de leur sponsor. L’inquiétude s’est également emparée des voisins de la Somalie jusqu’aux rives de la péninsule arabique.

Un État islamique, alors que les dommages collatéraux de l’occupation de l’Irak et la crise inter-palestinienne n’arrêtent pas de déferler, est un facteur aggravant de la situation.
