Sudan Calls for Global Movement to Oppose 'Great Powers'

Sudan claims that by exacerbating internal divisions, the 'great powers' [the United States] plot to undermine governments in developing countries, so that they [Washington] can take their natural resources.

In a world of decreasing resources and increasing population, Sudan is being targeted by the conspiratorial plans of the great powers, which want to impose their guardianship on the developing countries to benefit from their resources and wealth.

The great powers exploit internal conflicts to implement their own agenda. A top official of the JVP, a Sri Lankan Buddhist party, warned of an international conspiracy targeting his country. He said that by applying the Sudanese pattern in Sri Lanka, [foreign powers] seek to pressure the government. This is being done by supporting rebels and by so doing, separating northern and eastern areas of the country,

Wimal Weerawansa, a high-level official with the JVP, said politicians and humanitarian organizations are part of this conspiracy, and that public officials that cooperate are committing treason. He also said that this global conspiracy to “apply the Sudanese model” also targets China and perhaps India.

Weerawansa warned that the plot seeks to undermine the public image of developing countries, so that targeted countries are weaker when confronting the great powers. Because they possess economic, military and technological advantages, the great powers often attack weaker nations through U.N. Security Council resolutions. And because most third world nations are multi-ethnic, they are exposed to this “Sudanese pattern,” Weerawansa warned.

These targeted nations should use his warning to protect themselves from the domination of the great powers. Justice has been absent since the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, because now the United States is the unrivaled superpower in the world.

It dominates the weak nations, similar to Germany during Hitler’s Rule; Hitler attacked the eastern European states, invaded Poland, and even France. If he hadn't been defeated in Stalingrad, he might have conquered Russia.

The similarity is strong, and differs only in time and place. The plans being contemplated [by the great powers] represent one of the most dangerous crimes in modern history.

The values of justice that call for the protection of weaker nations from the great powers has completely collapsed. But weaker nations do possess a potentially powerful weapon: Uniting to protect their rights and resources. But first they must successfully achieve internal unification, in order to undermine the conspiracy arrayed against them.

A country that is not targeted today will definitely be targeted tomorrow. Developing countries should do their best to avoid this conspiracy, so the old proverb, "Beware: I had been eaten the day the white ox was eaten," does not end up applying to them.

The challenge revealed here requires the third world to begin formation of a global movement of like-minded nations. The new movement should include developing countries from every continent, because old international organizations like the U.N. are not effective.

This proposal requires cooperative action, in order to spread justice and foil the plans of the great powers, which prefer a return to the law of the jungle. The situation in Sudan, therefore, requires us to resolve our internal conflicts.

In order to undermine the plans of the great powers, we should recall the example of the non-aligned nations during the 1950s. The great powers were held to account by the nonalignment movement. But many obstacles, because of “penetration,” will confront our project. We notice this problem in Iraq, for example, where some national forces are arrayed against other national forces.

This is the American strategy.

Many pretexts have been used for targeting Syria and Iran. We call for an international grouping, because we realize that all previous strategies have failed, since they were not based on cooperation, and because people in these countries have been divided, especially in the Arab world.

It is important to form a united front of third world nations, to avoid a flood worse than any Tsunami. But the latter is a natural event, whereas the flood we refer to will be committed by human beings, and will not be stopped without a global movement.

The aim of this proposal is not the hatred of others, but the protection of the legal rights of weaker nations. If they gather together, the developing nations will be a force to be reckoned with, because they will bring attention to the lack of justice around the world.

Our plan would gather together countries that account for a large area and a tremendous population. Many of these nations have good economic growth, which will enable the new grouping to become a balancing force, between weaker nations and the great powers.

Through this global movement, weaker nations will be able to lift the injustice from their people. But without it, we will have no protection from the plans of the great powers.
